National Women’s Health Week

This week is National Women’s Health Week! It’s the 18th anniversary of this observance which is led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The aim of NWHW is to remind women to make their health a priority and highlight some of the specific health concerns affecting women. It also exists to promote awareness about steps women can take to improve their health, including preventative screenings, paying attention to mental health, and staying active.

With our current political climate it’s more important than ever to take issues of health, especially women’s health, seriously. So we encourage everyone to get to the word out about National Women’s Health Week, as well as take some time to do something good for your health – whether it’s a jog, a check-up, or some much needed self care. You can also go to https://www.womenshealth.gov/nwhw to check out some of the ways you can celebrate NWHW and be a healthier you.

A vital (and too often ignored) part of women’s health is sexual health. We are always trying to get the word out about the importance of sexual health and wellness, and we have have some fun news on this very topic. We will be attending the 49th annual ASSECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) Conference with our Pacik dilators. The conference will take place June 15 – 18 at the Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa, and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The conference draws over 600 attendees from all over the world in a wide range of disciplines such as sex education, therapy, nursing, and sociology. The common thread is an interest in promoting greater understanding of human sexuality and sharing knowledge, research, and clinical techniques in the field of sexual science. As exhibitors at the conference we will be displaying our Pacik dilators and sharing information with attendees about their design, how they work, and how they’ve helped so many women. We’re so excited for this opportunity to share these amazing medical devices with such a large group of health professionals, and to learn from all of the great information and ideas that will be exchanged there!
